Winter truly is a magical time of year in my part of the world. Above is a picture of the view from my bedroom window. We sleep with the curtains open because we love waking up in our enchanted forest.
The snow brings a deep stillness and silence to the forest and yet a new energy seems to emanate from every life form around us.
Wrapped in their winter coats, the evergreens seem taller and more alive somehow. I watch them and imagine that they are whispering nature’s secrets amongst themselves. These gentle giants seem to watch over us benevolently as the seasons pass. I’m amazed by their beauty and strength and I feel a deep peace as I breathe in their stillness.
I feel a cool breeze on my cheeks as the wind enters the scene.
One by one, these majestic beings begin to gently rock and sway to the sound of a symphony I can only imagine. It is a vision of unity and peace that fills my heart with gratitude and reverence.
I feel a deep sense of pride in knowing that part of my mission on earth is to nurture and preserve this miracle of life.
Today, I am thankful for the trees who tirelessly clean the air we breathe.
