Namaste everyone, I hope you are well this morning.
As you may have noticed, I’ve been silent for a few days… I turned 35 on July 13th and I’ve been in a reflective mood. That being said, I’ve been here at the helm quietly and faithfully updating my world peace map.This is turning out to be a quite interesting project as I am making some unexpected discoveries along the way.
For one thing, I’m discovering that many people are taking to the streets in the US not to ask for world peace but quite simply to ask for peace in their own neighborhoods.
I’m also discovering that although I’ve created a google alert for “peace” I’m finding out about most peace manifestations that have occurred in the past. I wonder, why are so few peace manifestations being reported in advance? I’m guessing it’s too early in this process for me to find some clear answers but I will continue combing the web looking for evidence of peace in the world. I’ve been updating my world peace map on a daily basis. Unfortunately, I’m finding out about most manifestations of peace after the fact. I’ve debated about whether or not I should post events that occured in the past and I’ve decided to include events that took place in 2008.
