Take a break, you deserve it.
My mind is racing in a million different directions today. Although I’ve been sitting here for hours trying to be productive, I’m about as efficient as a snail in a horse race. Sometimes, the best thing you can do for yourself is to just take a break. No guilt allowed here… give yourself permission to take some time for your Self. Go ahead, I’m sure you deserve it.
Join me if you can; let’s take a few moments to stand, stretch and breathe deeply.
Stand up and place your feet shoulder width apart. Stand tall, roll your shoulders back and take in a slow, deep, cleansing breath. Remember to inhale through your nose and exhale through your mouth.Take your time.
Stretch your arms out and reach for the sky. Breathe deeply. Bring your arms down slowly as you exhale.
Rotate your head, bend down, rotate your wrists or just move and stretch any part of your body that feels tense. Close your eyes and just enjoy the moment.

After spending over a decade of my life sitting in front of the computer, consuming mass quantities of information, and barely coming up for air, I’ve come to realize just how important it is to stop, breathe and quiet my mind.
I work from home and I often forget to take breaks… I don’t smoke and it’s not like I have anybody to talk with at the water cooler if you know what I mean… If you’re self employed, (or not) I’d love to know what you do during your breaks.
