It’s so easy to sprinkle kindness into the world. Sometimes, all it takes is an encouraging word, a warm smile or a helping hand…
I think that small random acts of kindness can have a huge impact. Wouldn’t it be great if we could commit to doing one nice thing a day for a total stranger?
Here’s my random act of kindness for today. I spontaneously decided to visit an art gallery this afternoon in order to bring some warmth and color into an otherwise misty and grey autumn day. I was immediately blown away by the gorgeous paintings I discovered as I crossed over the threshold of the Robert Leclerc Gallery. It was like stepping into his peaceful universe of warm and vibrant colors, that seemed to twirl and sway gently on the canvas. I wanted to immerse myself in the breathtakingly beautiful landscapes and breathe in the beauty and the peaceful energy that emanated from each piece. I don’t think I have ever been so moved by art, I felt as though it was speaking to my heart. You can visit his site here but I kid you not, the small photos on his site don’t do justice to the sublime pieces I saw at his gallery today. Here is a sample of his talent : Source Robert Leclerc - http://www.robertleclerc.ws/

I started chatting with the artist and his wife Claudia to congratulate them and tell them how impressed I was with Robert’s work. The conversation was lively and warm and I found myself asking them how I could contribute to their success. They gave me some pamphlets to hand out and started telling me about their plans to present Roberts art in Western Canada.
I immediately had a flashbulb moment! I have a long lost cousin who owns an Art Gallery in Vancouver. What a happy coincidence! So, as soon as I got home, I sent my cousin an email to tell him about this wonderful artist.
I haven’t spoken to my cousin in 20 years so I think I was about 13 the last time I saw him… and here I am raving and gushing about this artist in an email. I took a pause before I hit send and wondered if my cousin would think I was nuts. But you know what? Sometimes that is how magic happens… Besides, nuts are nutritious so it’s all good.
The trick with the law of attraction is to see the opportunities that are all around you and to take action on them when it feels right … either for your benefit or for the benefit of others. You are a magnet but you are also a transmitter of positive energy. I think it’s important to remember that because life is about balance.
Today, I was a transmitter of positive energy. Just a stranger, opening a door for another and sending them bright beams of positive energy as they continue on their path. FUN! It felt great and I hope that positive things will come out of my small act of random kindness.
I get the feeling this will be addictive. Please contact me to share your own stories!
