Have you ever eaten freshly picked strawberries on a hot summer day?
These were the reddest, sweetest, juiciest, most tender and delicious strawberries I have ever eaten in my entire life!

Each one was pure delight, I wish you could have tasted them. All you had to do was lightly lift your tongue up to your palate and the strawberry would sweetly melt in your mouth. It was an amazing sensory experience to say the least. ahhhh… (drools like Homer) mouth watering just thinking about it now.
Plus, it was so much Fun! to walk down row upon row of strawberry bushes and to pick the ones that seemed perfect… and by perfect I mean the perfect ones call to you… Pick me! I’m tasty! Pick me! Some were like small ruby red jewels twinkling in the green foliage, others were large, voluptuous and slightly Picasso-ish and others were perfectly symmetrical, bold and well …. they were all perfect!
Add to that the peacefulness of the farm, crickets happily chirping the day away, the sun warming our backs and making our cheeks and noses red… oh wait, that’s from the strawberries…
If you are looking for something inexpensive, Fun!, educational and tasty to do with your kids, by all means, bring them fruit picking!
You’ll create memories on days like these. I know we did.
Our son Loïk ran into the strawberry field with his basket and knew exactly what to do. He took one step and right away, he was on his knees picking and choosing every single perfect strawberry … one for the basket… two for me….

This was tops on my list of Spontaneous Fun! things we did this summer. On the way back, my husband and I decided we would keep a calendar of when it’s possible to go out and pick our own produce and make it an annual ritual.
We all had a great time! For 12 dollars, we came home with a ton of memories, strawberries and a happy buoyant energy. We are feeling very grateful for our day.
From the little pink house in the mountains to you, where ever you are, we send you positive thoughts and energy.
Namaste
